Foyer
This is the first area you’ll see when you step into your home, so creating a congenial atmosphere is important. Use ceiling fixtures or chandeliers to create a visually appealing welcome in the entranceway.
Living Room
An area for family get-together or social gatherings, a living room can beenfit from a few different kinds of lighting. For a relaxed environment, try using accent lighting such as table or floor lamps which are not too jarring. Meanwhile, an incandescent chandelier can instantly brighten up the room’s setting when guests come over.
Dining Room
Juts like music, lighting can make or break a meal. Chandelier work well to add sparkle and style to the dining room while providing the lights needed for dining or entertaining. For a less formal option, try hanging pendant lamps to accentuate the dining table.
Bedroom
Ceiling fixtures and portable lamps such as table and floor lamps are most suitably used in the bedroom. Wall-mounted lamps can also be used as additional lighting in place of portable lamps due to space constraints.
Bathroom
Wall-mounted fixtures can provide practicality and aesthetic value to the bathroom. Alternatively, place wall brackets next to the bathroom mirror for a variation of task lighting.
Kitchen
Ceiling-mounted fixtures are best use here to keep lights from obstructing the kitchen workspace. For accentuating kitchen cabinets and such, undershelf fixtures with energy-efficient fluorescent lights, miniature track lights and low voltage mini lights will do the trick.
